Meet the Director: Miah Jackson
After being a Dallas County resident for over 30 years, she has worked with the population of court ordered adolescents and adults for more than 8 years. In her present position, she works with low-income individuals who are involved in the criminal justice system following legal consequences of their substance use and mental health issues. She leads a team providing all aspects of court services including supervision, monitoring and intensive case management.
She is a graduate of Amridge University with a Masters in Leadership and Management. She is a member of the Alabama Association of Drug Court Professionals, the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, the Alabama Drug Abuse Task force and the steering committee for Alabama’s “Statewide System Reform program for dependency courts. She is a Certified Court Referral Office and Drug Screen collector. Finally, she the wife of District Attorney Michael Jackson and is a mother of four wonderful children (Jozie, Prince, Jolie and John Michael).
