Earn Your CDL for Free Through DCSOS

If you’ve been thinking about a career on the road, there may be no better time to start. DCSOS offers a fully funded Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training program in Selma — a service available across the programs under the DCSOS umbrella — and qualified participants can earn their CDL at no cost.

A Fully Funded Path to Your CDL

The centerpiece of the program is simple: free CDL training. Earning a Commercial Driver’s License is a proven gateway to stable, well-paying work, and the cost of training is one of the biggest barriers that keeps people from pursuing it. DCSOS removes that barrier entirely, opening the door for participants across all of its programs.

What’s Included

Enrollees don’t just get tuition covered. The program is built to support participants from start to finish with free services that include:

• CDL training to prepare you for the licensing exam and life behind the wheel
• Free DOT screening, a required step for commercial drivers

Training Through Wallace Community College

The CDL training is delivered through a partnership with Wallace Community College, giving participants access to an established, accredited program rather than a fly-by-night course. It’s hands-on instruction designed to get you road-ready and certified.

Why CDL Now?

CDL drivers are in high demand. The freight and logistics industry continues to need qualified commercial drivers, and a CDL opens doors to a wide range of employment opportunities — from local and regional routes to long-haul work. For anyone looking to jump-start a new career with a clear payoff, trucking remains one of the most direct routes to a steady paycheck.
